Terms for Searching

Use these terms in various combinations on databases, search engines, and library catalogs to find sources.  To search for a phrase, use quotation marks ('').  To truncate a search, put an asterisk (*) at the end of the root.  For example, president* would also search for presidents, presidential.  Combine terms using "and," "or," "not" to get the most useful results possible.  As you find sources, you will discover additional terms to use to further specify your results.
