Copyright and Fair Use: Copyright-Friendly Media

Copyright-Friendly Media

It's easy to find media that is not protected by copyright, free for you to use.  Some works are in the public domain, meaning they are not under copyright protection either because the copyright has expired or they were published that way to begin with.  Many creators publish their works under a Creative Commons License.  This allows for varying degrees of use by others.  Usually, creative commons licences require only attribution (saying where you found the work and who created it.)
