This organization (Common Sense Media) provides lots of useful information as well as media reviews. Here are a few resources especially related to the curriculum we are using and adapting with our Middle School students.

Digital Citizenship

The ability to engage with the digital world in ways that are ethical, safe, and productive.

Good digital citizens:

• Are aware of their digital lives and the ways in which they use and create digital media

• Respect intellectual property and copyright

• When seeking information, employ effective search strategies and evaluate what they find

• Seek out diverse sources of information and points of view

• Treat others with kindness and respect; are not bullies or bystanders

• Protect their own and others' privacy

• Cultivate a positive "digital footprint" (Use the digital world to learn, communicate, and share in positive ways)
