Tips for searching:
In library catalogs (like Destiny), try a subject search for "United States -- History." You will probably need to narrow this down to your topic, but this will give you a good overview of what the library has.
When searching for a term that is a phrase, or an idea conveyed through more than one word, use quotations to specify your search terms. For example: "United States" vs. United States.
If using Google to find sources online, try copying and pasting this query into the search field:
(site:.gov OR site:.edu)("United States" OR America) AND histor*
Observe the results. What have you found? Can you explain how structuring your search this way affected the quality of the results you found?
